Norwest Jockey Club (NWJC) – 2026 Season Membership Terms & Conditions

Effective for the 2026 race season. By purchasing or using a 2026 NWJC Season Membership, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. Definitions

• Club / NWJC means Norwest Jockey Club.
• Season Membership means a membership valid for NWJC’s 2026 race season events as determined by NWJC.
• Member means the individual whose name is recorded on the membership and who has completed the membership application and payment.
• Membership Pack means the physical items issued as part of membership (e.g., badge/wristband/pack contents as determined by NWJC).
• Event means a NWJC race day or related function during the 2026 season.

2. Membership Eligibility

Season Membership is available to individuals who complete the required membership application form, provide accurate personal details, and meet any eligibility criteria set by NWJC from time to time.

NWJC may refuse, cancel, suspend, or revoke membership where information provided is false, misleading, incomplete, or where membership rules are breached.

3. Membership Approval

Where NWJC applies an approval process, submission of an application does not guarantee membership. NWJC reserves the right to approve or reject any membership application at its sole discretion.

4. Membership Fees, Payment and Confirmation

• Membership is not confirmed until payment has been received and processed successfully.
• All membership fees are in Australian dollars (AUD) unless stated otherwise.
• Membership fees are strictly non-refundable, except where required by law.

5. Season Membership Availability and Sale Windows

• 2025 Season Members pre-open (exclusive window): 15 March 2026 to 1 April 2026 (inclusive).
• Public sales open: 1 April 2026.
• NWJC may close sales early if capacity is reached.

6. Membership Limits and Purchase Rules

• Season Memberships are limited in quantity (as set by NWJC for 2026).
• One (1) Season Membership per person.
• Duplicate Season Membership purchases (including attempts to purchase multiple memberships under the same name/email/identity) are not permitted and may be cancelled without refund where a breach is identified.
• Season Membership purchases must be made via the official NWJC website/approved online channels only (unless NWJC states otherwise).

7. Membership Identification, Entry and Verification

• Photo ID is required upon entry to verify membership ownership.
• The name on the membership must match the name on the photo ID.
• No ID = No Entry. This rule applies without exception.
• NWJC may require the membership QR code / barcode / membership number to be presented and scanned at entry.

8. Non-Transferable Membership

• Season Memberships are strictly non-transferable.
• Members must not sell, share, lend, or transfer their membership, membership badge, QR code, barcode, or any membership access method to any other person.
• Any attempt to transfer or share membership access may result in immediate cancellation of membership and removal from the venue, and may affect eligibility for future membership.

9. Membership Packs – Delivery or Collection

To avoid missed collections and follow-ups, the default method is delivery unless the Member selects collection and acknowledges the conditions.

9.1 Delivery (Standard Option)

• Delivery is the standard option and incurs a $15 delivery fee (unless NWJC advises otherwise).
• Packs will be delivered to the address provided by the Member during signup/checkout.

9.2 Collection (Opt-in)

If a Member selects Collection, they must acknowledge:

• Collection is only available Monday to Friday, 8:00am–3:00pm from:
  Commercial Engraving & Cutting, 62 Anderson Road (new address)
• Membership packs will NOT be taken to the event for collection.
• NWJC is not responsible for delays or missed collection where the Member has selected collection and does not attend within available times.

10. Membership Benefits

Membership benefits apply to the 2026 race season and may include (as determined by NWJC from time to time): priority entry processes where applicable, access to members-only areas where applicable, and other benefits promoted by NWJC.

Benefits are subject to change and are not transferable.

11. Membership Term

Season Membership is valid for the 2026 race season only and expires at the end of the season (or on a date determined by NWJC). Memberships do not automatically renew.

12. Code of Conduct

Members are expected to behave respectfully and lawfully at all NWJC events and functions. Behaviour deemed inappropriate, unsafe, abusive, disruptive, or contrary to NWJC policies may result in refusal of entry, removal from the venue, suspension, or termination of membership privileges.

This includes (but is not limited to):

• sharing/lending membership badges or QR/barcode access,
• misuse of membership privileges,
• failure to comply with Club rules or event staff instructions,
• aggressive, abusive, or intoxicated behaviour.

NWJC reserves the right to make final decisions regarding membership conduct and venue access.

13. Refund, Cancellation and Event Changes Policy

• Membership fees are strictly non-refundable, including for change of mind, inability to attend, travel issues, illness, or other personal circumstances.
• NWJC is not responsible for cancellation, modification, or rescheduling of events due to circumstances beyond its control (including but not limited to weather, natural disasters, venue issues, government restrictions, or public health orders).
• Where required by law, refunds or remedies will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.

14. Privacy and Communications

By registering for membership, you consent to NWJC collecting and using your personal information for membership management and verification, communications about club events and membership matters, and operational and safety requirements. Personal information will be handled in accordance with NWJC’s Privacy Policy.

15. Photography, Video and Media Consent

You acknowledge and agree that photographs, video, and audio recordings may be taken at NWJC events. These materials may be used by NWJC for promotional, marketing, and advertising purposes, including publication on the Club’s website, social media, and other media outlets, without compensation or further notice (where permitted by law).

16. Changes to Terms

NWJC may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most current version published by NWJC will apply. Continued use of membership after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

17. Acceptance

By purchasing and/or using a 2026 Season Membership, you confirm that the details you provided are true and correct, you understand Season Membership is non-transferable, you understand photo ID is required for entry and No ID = No Entry, and you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
